
Join artist and educator Dee Hewitt in this 3 hour workshop and discover the joy of wooden block printing, a heritage Indian craft that will inspire you to create your own unique projects on paper, fabric or clay.
This workshop will be focus on the hand block printing process and by the end of the workshop you will:
- understand block printing as an Indian heritage craft
- recognise hand block printed fabric designs
- complete samples of one colour printing
- know supplies and tools required
- understand basic hand printing design composition
- complete several hand printed projects including a tea towel








Whatβs included:
- 3 hours of professional tuition
- All the materials you’ll need to print your first textile
- Info on where to get supplies
- Some take home notes
- Tea, coffee and light refreshments (gluten free & vegan)
- Extra blocks and textiles will be available to purchase on the day
You will need to bring/supply:
- Your notebook/journal
- (optional) If you have a specific t-shirt, tote bag or textile you’d like to print on, you can bring that
